Digital positive image files, reviewed for orientation and basic presentation. Final quality depends on the original negative, exposure, age and condition.
Old home movies deserve to be watchable again — whether they're on reel film or a stack of tapes in the closet.
8mm film is digitized frame by frame and assembled into a digital video file. VHS and Mini DV tapes are transferred to modern digital files as well. Because video transfer is equipment-dependent and completed off site, film and tape formats are not available as part of the on-site digitization option.
Have another format — Hi8, Digital8, Betamax or something you're not sure about? Send me a note and I'll let you know what's possible.
Some memories are oversized, mounted, bound in albums or simply too delicate for a standard flatbed workflow.
Larger-format items can be carefully photographed using a controlled setup to create a detailed digital reproduction.
The captured image can be cropped, aligned and adjusted for color, contrast and clarity while preserving the character of the original.
Choose the option that feels right for the quantity, type and sentimental value of your originals.
